Sub-granting Program |
The Barnwell County Arts Council offers 1:1 matching sub-grants (grantee:BCAC), on a quarterly basis to Barnwell
County residents. These grants are designed to provide financial support to qualified organizations and individual
artists for special projects of artistic or cultural merit. Project support includes but is not limited to: exhibits;
festivals; promotion, publicity, printing; rental, lease, or purchase of equipment; consultants; attendance at
seminars, institutes, workshops by staff and/or board members of arts and arts related organizations; or costs
directly related to the project.
Recently BCAC sub-funded a Clay Camp for Barnwell County students, ages 8-12, and also Circle Theatre's
Summer Camp.
The next application deadline is February 15, 2010 for projects beginning in April, May or June, 2010.
All applications are reviewed by a 5 member review panel which then sends qualifying applications to the BCAC
Board of Directors for approval.

Arts Fund of the Coastal Community Foundation of SC and also by the South Carolina Arts Commission which
receives support from The National Endowment For The Arts.
